Better breakfast with less budget
Personally, something that I can not skip out on is a breakfast that provides energy and tastes alright, even when in a rush. It can set your mood and tone for the day, and it's easier to keep your head in the right space with a full stomach. The point of this post is to show easy and cheap alternatives to the usual methods people use in the morning.
Now, if you're like me, you can not start the day without some coffee. I rely on a refillable 20oz metal cup to save on cups and to stay away from plastic bottles. The cheapest okay tasting coffee you can get in your area is likely instant coffee grounds (https://sovrn.co/1i8kux7), which use a spoonful or two for a full cup of coffee. Throw in a splash of caramel flavoring and creamer, a sprinkle of cinnamon or sugar over ice and you wouldn't know the difference from your Tim Hortons.
With the egg shortage hitting hard this year, alternatives to actual breakfast food are a must. Instead of family sized boxes of cereal, the bagged versions are the exact same for a cheaper price with less packaging to waste. Even more so, the offbrand cereals and fruit & nut bars are normally also the exact same as the on brand besides the pricepoint.
With how often I snack in the morning, it's a good bet that you all do aswell. I focus on getting healthy alternatives like store brand protein bars, or gummy snacks, even trail mix bags are the goat to keep you energized in the morning hours. I also can't help but have a sweet tooth, so I pick up donuts when they are on sale for a little morning treat.
These are some ways I survive the Wave in the morning, don't forget to have plenty of water early aswell since you depend hugely on good ol H2O in your system to survive. Good luck and ride the wave 👋
